 (Correspondent Hu Zhenzhen, Wang Wei) On April 25th, "The father of Chang'e " Chinese Academician Ouyang Ziyuan made a lecture on the 232th Luojia lecture, which brought a "Chinas lunar exploration dream" aerospace lecture. Li Jiancheng, the vice president of Wuhan University, issued Academician Ouyang the commemorative certificate.

 

The event was hosted by Wuhan University and undertook by Zishan Lake Aerospace Science Museum in Hubei Province. Ouyang demonstrated the progress of human lunar exploration with a large number of pictures and scientific exploration stories. He said that China has made tremendous efforts from the successful launch of CZ-3A carrier rocket, carrying China's first lunar exploration satellite "Chang'E1" (Xichang, October 24th, 2007) to " Chang'E3" and " Chang'E4". In this way, China has become a space power with certain strength and status. Facing with technological competition from other countries, China will need more innovative talents in the aerospace industry in the future.

Later, Ouyang told us about the progress of China's lunar exploration and the subsequent lunar exploration program. Besides, he also introduced the development of China's “Chang'e project”, as well as China's preliminary ideas of future exploration to Mars, Venus, asteroids, Jupiter and the Sun.

Ouyang is a famous celestial chemistry and geochemist. He is the chief scientist of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Project. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, known as the“Father of Chang'e”. He has long been engaged in geochemistry, astrochemistry, comparative planetary science, eco-environmental catastrophe induced by collision of extraterrestrial objects with the earth and biological extinction. He has won the first prize of the National Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first prize of the Natural Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and third Prize of the National Science Conference, the 14th World Outstanding Chinese Award. His representative works include Astrochemistryand Evolution of Nuclear Transition Energy and Earth Materials.

It is reported that since 2016, China has designated April 24th as the "China Aerospace Day" to commemorate the achievements of China's space industry and carry forward the spirit of China's spaceflight. Hubei has carried out a series of “Space Day” activities. The space lecture hold by Wuhan University is to promote space spirit and popularize space knowledge.
